Hi Jordan,

It would appear that the Chromium Company owns the area south of the Stillwater claims in Montana now, and IDO.V has a JV with Chromium Company to explore the Chromitite layers above the original deposit. This is an area Anaconda did some drilling in. Your toxic tailings story is interesting. I wonder if the area ARCO has/had? is close to these holdings, or perhaps is the same area you are talking about.

Map of the area. Scroll down a bit.

The Chromium Company holdings are just below the Stillwater mine and join up the IDO holdings to the Southwest and Southeast of the JM reef so that the IDO holdings and the Chromium Company JV hold the entire area directly south of Stillwaters JM reef. Samples from outcrops in IDO holdings give PGM values measured in the ounces per tonne.

Looks like the Mint got it all. Does the US Mint qualify as a successful platinum miner?
