To me it's not about that. My claim isn't that Athlon is the stomper chip and AMD will crush Intel. My point is simply that Willamette might not be either and that in light of some of the Willamette details AMD may very well have the tools and technology to remain competitive long term. I realize the numbers are theoretical and that there are still significant challenges ahead of AMD but you have to admit that a few of Willamette's architectural details are some cause for relief on the part of AMD longs...Well I guess you don't have to admit that but in my humble opinion they sure make AMD's long term prospects a whole lot brighter, not assured, but a whole lot brighter.
