Many corporation will do it that way. In fact, many of them pay hundreds of thousands for just one piece of paper license :-)

They just either embed the GUID(?) of Word or the OS in each document created. Pretty simple.

Re: Microsoft registration

Anybody out there who is familiar with Citrix Winframe/Metaframe has been using this registration system for years. Microsoft made Citrix use it as part of the source code license and Citrix acted as the guinea pig for beta testing the process.
