The M5 is fine, and I don't mean OK fine either. I just don't need one right now.

If I wanted a sedan for myself, I'd buy that car.

I drive the X5. My wife has the sedan. The 996 Cab is mine, too.

I had the latest M3 when they first came out (~'93). It was nice. But I also had an '86 Mercedes 190 2.3-16 quite a few years before, and it was just as good as the M3. Although it was in the shop more often.

I guarantee that you could easily get $10K over sticker w/o trying (depending on when they'll be delivered). They're damn hard to find right now- Kind of like all-stainless Rolex Cosmographs were a couple of years ago. The key is to know where to go to get the goods, as well as making sure that they know you.
