. Positive: mfg capacity, asian growth, breadth of product line in optical. Negative: same-o, same-o: it's still all on the come; quarter sales down yr-over-yr. Looks great; but still out there at the other end of the tunnel. So the question arises: can positives balance out negatives? I got the strong impression everything was on the come as well. I wish I knew more about FOCI in terms of what modules it's likely to enable and what the time-frame would be for benefits to the bottom line. From what was said it's flat for 2000 and accretive in 2001. What will add to growth in the interim? Or can they sell the "no earnings is okay story?" I also wish I'd stepped to the sides today. Pat
