Yes, Dionne is a hardcore Democrat, no doubt of it....I find the gloating of the McCain supporters absurd. Republicans support Dubya, why should he quit? At some point, he will likely benefit from that support, and take the nomination. Even if he does not, it is too early to write him off. But they should realize that almost certainly the Republicans cannot win without conservatives turning out in high numbers, and if they do not want to help Buchanan fracture the party, they should pray that Bush recaptures the momentum, and soon.......
