OT/ JQP: I'm smiling because Bush kept bashing McCain for only spending two days in Michigan. Hmmm ... three days ;-)

As it is McCain went from a 20 point underdog to victory in three weeks.

Yesterday sure trashes the significance of Bush being favored by the Governors. The Governors of both MI and AZ have been amongst Bush's staunchest supporters, and MI's governor has been a heavy in the Party.

Here in AZ, where only Republicans could vote, Republicans gave McCain a huge majority without the aid of "rented Democrats".

I hope the Republican poohbahs and "king makers" get the message. The religious right and Christian Coalition may control the party; they obviously do not count for much with the membership and voters at large. If they insist on cramming their candidate in, this fall will be another "Dole experience".
