Jim may have a point. When Intel introduces new desing, like back when PII was released, they compared the performance of 266 MHz PII to 200 (or was it 233) Pentium. At the same clock speed (of 200 or 233) there was not much difference, yet Intel claimed jump in performance (most of which came from the higher clock speed)

Suppose Willy's FPU is no better, or even worse (unlikely) than Cumine). Intel will still (rightly) say Willy is faster, since Willy may be at 1.4 GHz while CuMine is at 1 GHz.

What people really want is FPU power.. Isn't that what INTC always touted against K5 and K6?
