- with Cisco, had recently bought a few puts and made a nice profit. This was a very bearish Bakunin-style investment

- today bought some MSFT call options (leaps)

What are other folks doing?

Bought to open a small number of CSCO Jan-2002 130 Calls yesterday, sold to close some DELL LEAPS at a small profit (probably a bad move), bought some ETEK on Friday.

RE:What are other folks doing?

Well, I'm sitting on my nicely appreciated Jan 2001 60's and still long on a few shares that I bought in my IRA at 80. I'm definitely feeling good about INTC. Bought some AMGN at 61, but my real darling this year is IMGN. I bought 6500 shares last year at < $2.00. I sold 500 at 6 1/2 based on my feeling that everything I sell goes up. Hit 20 1/2 recently; now consolidating around 18. Currently they're in clinical trials for a cancer drug that is looking pretty good.
