Correct, and acquisition has always been the key to Cisco's growth. They acquire and incorporate companies better than anyone in the world. I think Chambers growth strategy is unmatched, and the record shows it.

Briand, Good post and you said a mouthful in a short but sweet sentence. I get a kick in the pants when other small start-ups that feel betrayed (and perhaps some analysts) beat up Cisco for making "the wrong acquisition" in the high speed switching/routing space. Who better to understand what they're looking for than Cisco. Who better to make an assessment of this technology than Cisco. I suspect Growth Networks was a good buy - especially given the price... other commentary is simply sour grapes or misinformed pontificators. As always thanks for the insightful input. OG
