Concurrent Computer Corporation Announces Commercial Deployment at
Time Warner Cable's Hawaii-based Oceanic Cable

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 2000-- Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR - news) announced today that its MediaHawk VOD
System is being used in the industry's largest commercial deployment of VOD at Time Warner Cable's Hawaii-based Oceanic Cable division.
In January 2000, Oceanic Cable commercially launched VOD services making them available to approximately 254,000 households.
Oceanic Cable subscribers now have access to movies-on-demand. ``It's a great service! All I have to do is tune to the movies-on-demand channel and select the
movie I want to watch -- it plays instantaneously! It's similar to playing a videotape in my VCR, but the difference is that the picture is better, and I can watch the
movie at my convenience, without having to leave my home to either get or return the movie. What could be easier?' said Noreen Kuniyuki, Oceanic Cable's
Director of Information Systems and an Oceanic Cable subscriber.
The MediaHawk system, which provides a flexible platform for other interactive television (ITV) applications, offers Oceanic subscribers on-demand access to
content localized to Hawaii. Allan Akamine, Oceanic Cable's Director of Sales & Marketing, explains, ``I can pause a movie, switch to the pizza-on-demand
channel, order a pizza to be delivered to my home, and then resume watching the movie. I do all of this without having to move from my chair. The subscriber
response has been extremely positive.'
Time Warner Cable selected the MediaHawk VOD System for Oceanic Cable's VOD program in 1999.

As one of Time Warner's selected suppliers, Concurrent participated with Time Warner Cable in the establishment of Pegasus specifications and developed the
MediaHawk VOD System to be Pegasus-compliant. Pegasus is Time Warner Cable's program for digital interactive applications and services including VOD. Time
Warner Cable selected Concurrent as the VOD system supplier for VOD tests at its Tampa Bay Division in August 1999.
