Well, you make a good point, government interference in protecting people from their own stupidity is generally a futile effort anyway. I guess we should not have any defined margin limits at all, if the brokerage house is willing to loan the money, then what the hey. We can also get rid of those silly regulations on what a company has to report on a balance sheet and the requirements for silly independent audits....they just cost the company extra money that comes off of shareholder profits. It's the investors responsibility to determine the accuracy and determine risk. We can also get rid of those absurd insider trading regulations and the reporting rules. Let's zero out all SEC regs.
