Elmer,

You can come over and give a look at my overclocked 440BX board with PC133 SDRAM. It is running for almost two months now without even one time hanging.

It must be very easy to release an official 133MHz version of it. For a company like INTEL, it's peanuts.

Still, I don't know why they haven't invested the resources to do it. (BX upgrade)

It's a little puzzling. The upgraded BX could have been the new mainstream chipset, while the other chipsets (810, 815, 829, 840) could have served as exotic alternatives to solidify the market dominance.

The recent Infineon investment is probably just that - an investment. But it is interesting to note that Infineon is (I believe) currently the largest volume supplier of CAS 2 PC133 chips - which are comparable in performance to Rambus PC800 in most applications, and cost much less.
