Thanks for posting the HWP/A distribution info which closely parallels the COMS/PALM deal. I had seen that but couldn't find it again when I went to look. That info should ease the minds of many COMS holders.

COMS valuation after PALM spinoff:
Dave,
good to see thinking people on here.
Its interesting to note that the valuation of HWP after
the Agilent spinoff increased ,almost exactly, by the amount
of the valuation of agilent at the agilent trading price on ipo day.
$44 x 380 million Agilent sharesowned by hwp = $16.7 billion

hwp went up 19 points in two days; x 1 billion shares of hwp
outstanding= $19 billion.

my point is that not much discount is given to the value of the spinoff in the stock of the parent company when its known that shareholders will get the rest soon.
