The OBJX news (licensing to Maycom for I-Jam) supports my theory of how some companies are using EDIG's product - i.e. to "bootstrap" while they develop or license better/cheaper software.

I see EDIG licensees using their software in low-volumne applications - for development kits (in the case of chip makers) and prototypes.

Might Maycom have produced a few prototypes using EDIG software to satisfy an urgent need for tradeshows, venture capitalists, etc.? The EDIG software was available immediately, perhaps easier to license (but perhaps at a higher price than desired) and perhaps it got them past a needed dog-and-pony show.

Just connecting the dots...
