Lee - ah yes, getting to sit at home in your underwear - gotta love it - this working gig does let you keep up on what's current though - anyhow, a firewall can be hardware or software and in a simplistic definition allows one to control what goes "outside" and what comes "inside" your space - the outside/inside can be a single pc or a network - corporations use them to limit and monitor their employees activities to the outside world (not necessarily internet related) - individuals at home will begin to use them as more cases of devious individuals hack into their home pc become known Connor26
