Here's a little gem picked up off the Yahoo boards which really illustrates what the individual trader/investor is up against with some of these crooks. The stock in question is a biotech but it doesn't matter which one:

this message serves as a repeat lesson for those who didn't learn at the last secondary.

1. Run stock up..
2. Allow those in the know to feed out a small short position (say about 500,000 shares or less)
3.Announce secondary of 2.5 million shares
4.Watch stock decline helped by some additional shorting and position trading, as well as a not unexpected cooling off in an overheated sector.
5. Issue secondary..at lower price...to large institutional investors (who coincidentally were the ones shorting at higher prices)...(easy to have the baytzim to short when you know you're getting stock from the secondary to cover at a lower price)
6. Stir and simmer
7. Make announcement about:
a. Marketing Partner
b. Phase 3 results (early)
c. New contract..Lilly or Novartis
8. Watch stock soar..
