John Kaiser, writing in the Feb. 7 Bottom-Fish Action for the period Jan.
24 to Feb. 4, says Meteor is back trading after it was removed by Canadian
Venture Exchange officials, "pending clarification of the company's
affairs," a label generally reserved for listings about which the exchange
has suspicions of serious wrongdoing. Mr. Kaiser recommended Meteor in
June, 1999, at 15 cents. That followed a buy tip on Meteor when it was a
diamond hunter, in December, 1997, at 29 cents. In the current issue, Mr.
Kaiser says he is waiting for Meteor to name new key people to shepherd it
to the big leagues, and a financing. After that will come the beta testing
of the ThoughtShare browser plug-in. ThoughtShare categorizes what an
Internet user downloads; the letter writer says the system may have
profound implications for the Internet knowledge management industry. He
considers what little competition there is in the field to be not so much a
threat to ThoughtShare, but rather as a help to illustrate the difficulty
in solving the bookmarking problem. Mr. Kaiser says hold Meteor for a
speculation cycle.
