to compare ... BLDP announced a secondary when it was trading at the 70/80 area ...
take a look at the chart now ... it rose quite nicely from the 80's to 120/30 area
is this the same type thing?

usually they do because of dilution (depending on the number of primary shares issued- which is 3.5M in ISLD case I think- but when you have an underwriter like Goldman Sachs lead managing the transaction, the stock typically goes up in anticipation of Goldman's research coverage and stock recommendation. In this case also, Merrill was added to the soup mix. The stock is an easy double from here.
