>What was the problem, may I ask, with Webstreet? - JT

Had no problems with WS - except VERY slow to fill orders - until one of my BB's which normally traded less than 200,000 shares a day went to trading as high as 12 million and went from .14 to into the $1.20's in 4 days.

WS sells their order flow and passed it to the MM that is owned by their clearing company - US Clearing.

I put in a limit sale for some 89,000 shares and after some 52 minutes only 40,000 had traded even though the stock was trading around the price at which I had placed the order. I then placed a cnx on the remaining 49,000 shares. Nothing showed on my account for over 4 hrs until after the close and then suddenly it showes that all the shares had traded.

I protested the tranaction based upon what WS had told me transpired and then requested that they put in writing what I had been told.

They came back and told me it would cost me an ESTIMATED $625.00 for them to RESEARCH the information I requested. I have gone back to them with the position that I am not reqesting them to research anything - just to put in writing what they had told me via telephone. Since they had to have had the information available to tell me no research is required.

I have not heard back as yet and have also contacted an attorney, the SEC and the NASD dispute resolution dept.

Don't know if anything will come from them since one would assume they would have the best interest of WS at heart.
