JW & all: My apologies for not having reported back in a while on the Asus P3V4X/PIII 667 system. I finally picked it up yesterday afternoon and have not had the chance to unpack it. Just settling the bill took over an hour because of all the changes in equipment (i.e., another 128Mb of PC133 RAM, the change in video cards from the ATI 32Mb to the Matrox G400 dual head, the change from an ISA to PCI based 56K modem, the change in processor from PIII 733 to PIII 667, the downgrade (yuck!) in sound card from the SB Live to the SB 128 because of instability problems, a second larger HD (thanks to the recommendation of Zeus!). To his credit, he did give me the latest pricing on all the components and I saved enough in the last three weeks to bring the bill down over $500 even with the various upgrades! I'll try to get it up and running this evening and will report back tomorrow or late this evening. Sue :)
