Gary,
It is a case of "this is an art, not a science". Your read was also potentially correct (and the one that I am playing). One double bottom break isn't necessarily the best time to exit. Usually there is a retrace back up and it is important to see how the stock handles the resistance...or if it reverses back down before getting to resistance.

I would usually take a triple or quad break a little more seriously.
