I got the clerkship the only way you can get it-- a connection. Being an OTC trader (unofficially) was the same connection. I used to watch the other traders call each other up and yell at each other to support or not support particular prices. I learned pretty early about stock manipulation. This is part-time for me. I consult for a private firm which handles the day-to-day stuff. Shorting internet stocks is only part of what they do. I did make a lot of money doing so recently, but I certainly could have made a lot more by buying them earlier on.
