The Republican's of old had alot to offer and still could if they would just get out of bed with the religious right. They have much to bring to the table in terms of tax cuts, etc., but they got to shed that baggage! An extreme of either kind is bad ( left or right ).

The mix of both parties does give us all some balance and is important on the national level. I could vote for McCain for Pres if it looks like the Democrats will take back the House of Representatives. At least then his right wing tendencies will be checked. However, if the Republicans take back the House there is no way I will vote Republican for Pres.
