Bob C,

Maycom does in fact manufacture the I-Jam MP3 player. I would guess they will also manufacture the OBJX player that includes support for WMA. If you read the release again I think you will see that the OBJX player is their "next" generation player, NOT MAYCOMS. Also note that EDIG's reference design multi-codec player will be the 3rd generation player from MAYCOM. OBJX has only had one (1) generation of players available, so this will be OBJX's 2nd generation player. It may or may not in the future support other codecs and DRM's, and if it does then EDIG's MicroOS and/or reference design will be used IMO.

Hope this helps.

I-Jam - or I-Jam

Certainly can be confusing as to who's who or what's what (1st, 2nd, 3rd generation).

Contrary to John Tara's opinion, perhaps OBJX is the short term solution while EDIG is the true long term solution.
