No liftoff just short squize the funds do it all the time, otherwise they would not outperform.

Teh info is given to them as soft dollars .......e.g were the short positions are.

Re Question for the thread: If we gap up to a new high at the open then I expect an extended rally in the Nasdaq, otherwise not. That's my guess based on this chart:

Rallies in the past few months have either come as V-bottoms after multi-day declines (not the case now), or else they started with a gap up after a period of stagnation. If we gap up tomorrow we'll fit that second pattern.

My monthly pattern says up for the SPX ..

Now then .. that might be able to be done without the NAZ ..

With the massive amount of OI on NAZ puts, that downside is limited for the time being. That said, the folks that wrote them would like to see a little better retrace than we've seen so far.

IMHO FWIW and What The Heck Do I Know ..
