pham,

It is rarely discussed, but EACH & EVERY TRADING DAY, 90% of the total number of trades are made by individual investors, yet of the remaining 10% made by institutions, they account for about 80% of total volume.

Refer to my earlier post of today, it may help illustrate what goes on, what it looks like, and how to recognize signals that provide good evindece when it is the right time to enter a stock.

Your statistic is probably accurate, if anything it just means the individual investors were overly busy today ... unfortunately probably doing the exact thing they shouldn't do ... releasing their shares to instituion.

Regards, JB

Whoa--THAT is an extremely cool quant tool!. Except now I'll have to give up the weather vane approach (to guessing when institutions are buying). Thanks!

P.S. I wonder if Navallier uses this in his formulas? (% change in institutional buying).
