Boy. Those darn bombs and dogs. Yah. And the "Guards", who are to be scared of.

I hope they are paying you A LOT of MONEY.

CASH.

I suppose I better not bring that up, because you might just be NUTS.

<<A surfeit of adventures and misadventures. Besieged early one morning by wild dogs in Cairo (stuck to the hotel pool for exercise after that one), Israelis bombed the Beirut power plant the day before I flew in, we subsequently watched the lights blink on and off all over the city all evening. Got out just in time for the anti-American demonstrations, but I hear they were sort of half-hearted. Stopped on the road in a cab to the Bucharest, Romania airport at five a.m. by a surly, uniformed gentleman carrying a big gun who apparently wanted a piece of the cabbie's action. I gather he got it.>>

So how was the food?

You know, most normal business men go to New York, or LA, or DC, or Tulsa.

I did some research for you, and learned that there is a restaurant called Jack's Place that serves great Western food in Balikpapan (Oil City). There's also a Save the Orangatan Society that you may want to join while you're there to be PC. But most interestingly, there is the Balikpapan Hash,a "Drinking Club with a Running Problem". The members have names like Red Dickhead and Pusballs (and those are the only two I can type without blushing).
They are an attractive bunch and you may want to look them up.
