Dell shareholders had a lot to be thankful for in '97 & '98, at least they went about their CC with tact, something crybaby GTW didn't.

It's okay, it will cost GTW at least one sale, I'll guarantee that.

Let's look at the situation now. Dell is still an Intel-only business. They going to get first dibs at the 1 GHz Pentium III, and possibly Willamette as well. And just recently, Dell captured the top spot in PC workstations with Intel's products.

I'd say that Dell knew Intel's Q4 problems were short-term only, and that in the long run, it pays to make nice-nice with Intel. Contrast that with Gateway who publicly lambasted Intel and is now flaunting their renewed relationship with AMD. Maybe Gateway's CEO wants to follow 5fer's footsteps.

It was there was no problem, now since there is a problem and DELL is riding Intel to hell, DELL is going to get some doggy treats later.
