Explorer Finds Pirate Capt. Kidd's Ship
UPI
February 23, 2000

BOSTON ? The explorer who found the sunken pirate ship Whydah off the coast of Cape Cod, Mass., now believes he has located the wreckage of 18th century pirate Capt. Kidd's ship.
The Boston Herald reported Wednesday that Barry Clifford of Provincetown, Mass., and a team for the Discovery Channel located the galley Adventure off the coast of Madagascar two weeks ago during a 21-day expedition.

"We went 13,000 miles to a place the size of a football field and found exactly what we expected to find," Clifford said.
