Why on earth would somebody need or want to license TWO overlapping reference designs for incorporation into the same product? As if one alone weren't costly enough?

I think it's clear that one will be used as a prototype and one for the real thing, or, "best case" two separate products.

It just makes no sense at all, when you consider that e.Digital supposedly has everything that I-Jam would need.
