<<off to my poker game....>> quarter - half? or are you playing for higher stakes these days <g> As to John's "no reason to buy at these levels without IPO news", I'm going to take a middle road here. I like to have a solid "feel" and detailed information about a stock when I buy, so that I can weigh risk-reward. I had that up until the CC. Now, there are more items to research, analyze and consider. I also agree that we don't have all the answers I would like to have had coming out of the CC. Buying MRVC for the long term is a no-brainer. If you are willing to buy and hold, you will be well rewarded - WELL rewarded. But, IMO, at these levels and volatility, and BEFORE some of that stock moving news comes out, MRVC has substantial short term risk. Normally that's a risk I'm willing to take for the potential rewards. But one underpinning, revenue flow from the N-X LAN switching has been taken away and is not yet replaced by revenue from the new products. In it's place we have a merger that won't go through until Q2. This leaves Q1 earnings in question. I want everyone to clearly understand what I'm saying. The merger is an EXCELLENT move. The decision to exit the low margin LAN switching market is an EXCELLENT move. The CMGI model being implemented is an EXCELLENT move. I am confident that Management will EXECUTE. The new products have EXCELLENT potential. The markets they target are all HIGH-GROWTH. The trends all favor MRVC. Earnings down the road will be EXCELLENT. It's just that all those pieces will not be coming together in the next two months. I have no problem HOLDING at these levels, but I would want more information to factor into my BUY decision that I don't have at the moment. Maybe it's just me. I'm old fashioned - I like solid underpinnings under my stocks. Right now I'm looking to fill in some more blanks.
