My charge is not that Bush is anti-Catholic. I don't believe for a moment that Bush is really anti-Catholic. What he is is a smarmy Eddie Haskel-like gutless political opportunist who will say anything and associate coyly with anyone in order to prove that he is not the wimp everyone thinks he is anyway.

FIRST, he takes the low road with character assassination in South Carolina (don't even try to deny this), THEN brags about how this will show everyone he's tougher (wimp-factor negation) than they thought he was ("let's play hardball John!"), THEN, THEN, he WHINES about McCain's people ("OK, you want hardball?") taking the gloves off?!?! Puhleeeeze! Tis' more'n ah can take, Bubba! Have you no shame?!? VBG!

What a joke. McCain is a "real" American. Down-to-earth, sincere, accomplished Senator and a distinguished Veteran. Bush is the "pol." What are you a Republican roboton? Do you jump when the party says: "Don't ask questions! Get behind the program!"?
