Charley,

Did you read the article? Are we in denial that Bush fought dirty in SC?

And, I know some vets. I think they earned the right to call them whatever they want for the rest of their lives. Maybe your friend was not tortured.

My bigger point is this, Bush is playing with his image and the people don't want that. This is paramount to winning this election. McCain has been McCain from day one. Like him or not it really does not matter, this perception will play well with this election. Its going to be very important, much more so that some of the party line Republicans are recognizing.

Again
-Jesus ain't runnin this year
-McCain is McCain
-Bush is someone different in each region (a trick that is going to be tough on a national level)
-Gore is a bore and his own people don't really want him.
-Integrity matters because its a change from the past 7 years
-The far right is going to be an anchor on Bush
-People want change and they don't really believe Bush is going to give it to them
-McCain ain't insane, but he is feared by the machine because he is going to burn bridges and try his best to fix it
-issues are not central, its character this time

I have tried my best to address your question. Tell me why Bush is the right man for the job. I don't want to hear why McCain is the wrong choice, I want to understand why you support Bush.

Good Luck
