But the subject here is AMD as the original post was discussing. So what is your take on why ? Gary, I think you mean why did AMD have inventory at the end of the quarter. And my answer still applies...I think its smart to have some inventory. The inventory allowed AMD to take on a new OEM for Q,1. The lack of inventory caused Intel to lose some of GTW's business. Having said that, I think its easier for AMD to have inventory in that they are not the seasoned (and trusted) vendor that Intel is...and so they are still building business. I also believe they have a better handle currently on production than Intel. ted
