Doc, I have often wondered about some of the rave reviews brokers like WS get. I suspect that reviewers like Gomez look at things like the costs of trades, features available, and how fast the web site loads, then give their rating without ever making a trade. Some of those reviews may also be out of date. I was one of WS's strongest supporters when I opened my account two years ago. In those days J. Fox used to regularly post on the board. He even apologized when it was discovered that one of his brokers was posting messages pretending to be a client. (This may have been an early indication that their ethics are somewhat flexible.) I was quite happy with them for a while, but unfortunately things began to decline as their client base expanded. Complaints are only anecdotal evidence until one of their screw ups costs you thousands of dollars. I sincerely hope that things have improved and that you never run into the problems that I and many others had. Becoming their own clearing agent may help. Be careful. Bruce
