Zelix,
You should read the business 2.0 interview with Marc Anderson where he talks about his new company's focus to manage application for customers. He doesn't mention BEAS but he does talk about how Oracle, Broadvision, Cisco will play a central role in the offering. I suspect BEAS will definitely in the picture.
Once someone figure out how to leverage BEAS's software to help small-to-medium business, I will have no doubt BEAS is going to be the next Oracle.
Do you have any knowledge of BroadVision's product? Does it employ any middleware?

Zelix--You are very well informed on BEAS--what do you think of recent worries that BEAS products may be outdated or bypassed by newer technology within a year. I've seen talk about this on different boards. I would appreciate any insight you can share with us BEAS investors. Thanks
