Goatee huh? I'm glad he let the hair grow out. The shiny bald head, hoop ear ring look really wasn't working for me<gg>

I might start an "All Pirates Must Die Thread"

Food for thought.

Tech mania:

If tech stocks were in the shitter like they were a few years ago, oil stocks be HOT HOT HOT, just like tech stocks right now.

I am looking for a nice tech that I can park away for a few years and not worry about it. Still like Norsat. GNET, I don't know about that thing....

I am also looking at TRP (Trans Canada Pipelines), as the stock got hammered from the 30 range down to 10 bucks. Pays a dividend as well.

News:
Tuesday Feb 22 2000
The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday edition that shares of TransCanada PipeLines rose 10 cents to $10.15 on the Toronto Stock Exchange, on volume of 947,900 shares. Market Action reporter Paul Bagnell notes that analyst Robert Hastings at Goepel McDermid in Vancouver raised his recommendation on the stock to "buy" from "accumulate." Mr. Hastings says the stock is likely to remain out of favour with investors for some time after a sell-off triggered by the company's decision to slash its dividend in December. The company cut its annual dividend to 80 cents from $1.12 a share on Dec. 8. With a dividend yield of 8 per cent and a capital gain when the stock recovers, however, Mr. Hastings says the recovery is worth waiting for.
