Cha2: elon wireless

taken from their PR re: Finland.
"....For example, with Echelon's new i.LON? 1000 Internet Server, home automation can be monitored and managed via the Internet. Online access is now available via wireless application protocol (WAP) cellular phones. Given the Finns' love of cell phones and the Internet, we will soon see people on the streets of Helsinki controlling their homes through their mobile phones."

In an email to me ELON's IR confirmed that Ericcson is a customer.

As for devices "lontalking" to each other wirelessly, I have no direct link at this time, but this must be a sure thing, imo, as the wireless buildout continues. I understand that a co. called Coactive Networks is providing 3Coms home networking products, which are built on a Lontalk Platform. I haven't checked to see if their offerings are wired or wireless.
