Can you reference a discussion of how Buffet values options?

I am curious as to how Buffett's wealth accumulation has been distributed between realized and unrealized capital gains, interest, and cash from operating earnings of private companies, and other (collecting change from sofa cushions?).

I think that it is inherent that a company's value is reduced when taken private, due in part to the loss of opportunities for gain in both the manic and depressive phases of Mr. Market.
