The Catholics I know don't fear Evangelicals. There is a cordial, if at times testy, alliance. They fear us. You can have fun with them if they think you're the anti-Christ.

The word evangelical covers a vast territory of Christian opinion. Let me point out that one of the mainest mainliners and arguably the Protestant denomination closest to the Roman Catholic Church ( Co-Communicants in fact ) has Evangelical as part of their name - Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In the mouths of leftwing democrats, evangelical is a code word for red neck. These lefties however are simply ignorant biggots.

I oppose the teaching of macro-evolution. My choices then are to seek remedy through political participation, or pay out the arse for a good private education for my kids. And I certainly wouldn't hesitate to send them to Bob Jones University.
