Cory,

You are right that in the current bubble perception and momentum are far more important that reality.

I sure hope the bubble continues.

In the meantime I am accumulating some REITs that pay dividends in the 15%+ range.

Hopefully in a period of a year or two I can put all my portfolio into such "old" fashioned investments.

I am not an alarmist but all good yhings come to an end!!!

regards,

Kash

RE: <...somewhat accurate but not applicable when comparing typical high-tech growth stocks that have provided huge returns and many stock splits as a result over the years.>

Cory,

Thank you for your reply

Yes, I unconditionally concede that there is much more to whether a stock is a good investment and whether it's share price will appreciate than eps etc. Most stocks performance, Particularly high tech stocks, seem to be only loosely coupled to their companies profit outlook but the fundamentals do ultimately underlie everything and from that perspective AMD is fundamentally attractive relative to other higher priced issues. (as long as it remains profitable) I think that is what Hmaly was trying to say.

Thanks,

Epinephrine

But if noone wants to own the stock.....nowhere to go but down.

CG, speaking of which, do you intend to unload your MSFT? I was looking at its chart this AM and it sure hasn't done much this past year.
