Unless it gets out of hand, and induces megafear, this market may well help AMAT. AMAT, Cisco, and a few others represent a rare situation in todays market- a high tech company, with still awesome growth potential, but also well established and therefore relatively safe.
In other words, a gogo techie but also a value play simultaneously.
If the indices get knocked down and base lower, while we stay around 175-185, this would set the stage for our next upward move which could then be made in concert with an overall market move up whenever that would be.
Of course, as long as the business stays robust and unaffected by rising interest rates, it will follow earnings in the end.
