Calvin, While it may be true that Sony does not make pre-announcements of their component suppliers they did announce many months ago that RAMBUS memory was being used in PS2 which is just one of the reasons RAMBUS has been going nuts. I've been in and out of RMBS so many times I've lost count. Just jumped off at 201$ and ready to jump back in. Hard not to take the chips when you have the opportunity. I have not seen anything posted regarding Cirrus in PS2. Just a lot of speculation.
