I drove L.A. to Vegas a few years ago in a 5 series averaging about 105 mph. The car did fine, but my rearview mirror got a workout (keeping my eyes open for those CHP's!)
Great car though no built-in tissue box and the cup-holders suck! (it does have that side view mirror that points to the curb when in reverse, though! And stereo controls on the steering wheel!)

I think I averaged about 210kph. That's over 120mph!

i used to love to drive from west berlin to garmisch and or berchtesgaden in my 63 porschah s-90 and later in the lotus elan, followed by the challenger rt/se and a vette.

i lived there early 60's, early 70's and late 70's. 3 years each time.
beer was pretty good too and oh those frauleins.
