This daytrading witch hunt on Capitol Hill is a joke. Yep, that sounds good, lets subpoena everyone who's ever lost money daytrading and use that as a proxy to declare that daytrading is the scourge of the Devil. What a joke.

Hmmm, "most people who daytrade lose money, ergo we need to shut down daytrading." Okay, in that same vein, it has been proven that 85% of people who trade options lose money, so am I correct in thinking that Congress will be shutting down the CBOE soon?

When I was in college, it was a commonly circulated fact (by the administration) that 1/3rd of the freshman class would not make it to graduation. Given the high cost of college tuition, will Congress move to outlaw college? That's what they're trying to do with daytrading. This is B.S.

These witch hunts piss me off. Ever heard of laissez faire? If someone blows themselves up daytrading, chances are they would've blown themselves up doing something else if daytrading wasn't an option.

The bottom line is that there will always be suckers. You can't legislate common sense.
