Shrub was ahead of Gore in the polls during the early phases of the 2000 Pres. race. This was only because most people didn't know what he stood for. He certainly tried hard not to take issue with anything so he could keep his lead. But, his Republican opponents smoked him out of the closet and forced him to open his mouth and talk.......there lies his downfall.

As this race moves closer to election day, shrub will become better defined as a candidate and will lose ground toward Gore. Chances are Gore will force him into a couple debates ( Shrub will fight long and hard to avoid the debates ), and that will seal his defeat.

Gore will force him to take a stand on abortion and that alone will cause him to lose the woman's vote. He skirted that issue in Clinton fashion earlier in the race.

Bill, did you know that having a "big tent" meant rendering party registration meaningless, and that wondering why Republicans were not choosing their own delegates means spitting in the faces of Democrats and Independents. It is amazing what one can learn on these threads.......
