If the average person's cold duration is indeed 10-14 days, and his average is much less, that is, generically, his personal idiosyncracy regarding colds. I am not sure why you answered him the way you did, somewhat sarcastically (I interpreted it that way). If not, what was your point then? Regarding the rest of your post, I have already addressed it, the studies of colds and Zicam have addressed it and future studies will also address it. I also mentioned I respect your right to your opinion that those studies will never be published, but I disagree with you - and time will tell.
