i also have entertained the thought that the palm ipo would not be very explosive. two things seem to make this situation different from the big ipo plays of recent history. 1. people who want palm shares have another way to buy them before (and after) the ipo date. 2. palm has revenues (and earnings) that are known. part of the irrationality associated with absurd ipo valuations seems to depend on complete absence of such data. will these factors be decisive? wish i knew. peter wolff
