Alan- This is an off the wall question, but if you are in the entertainment industry like your profile says, you may find it interesting. Do you watch "Who want's to be a millionaire" ?. Tonights episode has a 500K question about film directing that is very interesting if you like the show or know anything about that industry. I thought you might want to be on the lookout for it, or I can PM you what happens.(so as not to ruin it for everyone else). Jeff

Tech Help Needed

It looks like my home network was "probed" this morning. I have two networked machines running with a single DSL connection to GTE. I have a software gateway (Sygate), but am unsure about the hack prevention it provides. I also run NukeNabber, which monitors and reports on attempted intrusions.

My activity log indicates that I had an unauthorized connection to my system today. NukeNabber fingered them, and traced the contact back to an IP address assigned to an internet cafe in Germany.

Total connection time was slightly more than one (1) second. I doubt anyone could do any damage (such as planting a file) in that time.

Any thoughts on how to deal with this?
